December 4, 1948 Squealed, Laughed and Jumped, Cooked A Little Too Long, Watched Every Minute and See You Soon

Dear Mother & Daddy,

"Yes, Bobby was glad to be home.  You should have heard him and Lynn laugh when they saw each other.  They squealed and laughed and jumped.  It is so nice that they can play together.  We got Bobby some sleepers with feet and he has been sleeping much better.  Now I don't worry about him getting uncovered for he sleeps that way most of the time and stays nice and warm.  He looks like a little angel in the sleepers.  We wondered what he would do the first night he wore them but didn't seem to notice anything different.

I did most of my Christmas shopping yesterday and am still tired today.  Bobby cried after me for the first time although B was here.

I have the fruit cake made and we'll divide it like we did the pudding.  It cooked a little too long but is still good.  This oven is just hotter than the electric stove I had last year.

There is an all day meeting of school administrators at the University today so B has to be there all day long--even for lunch.  He is in a discussion group.  Days are long when he can't come home.

Bobby is asleep.  I don't get much done while he's awake for he won't stay in the playpen any more and he has discovered how much fun it is to climb.  So he has to be watched every minute.  He holds the banister and walks up the steps.

We'll see you again before long.  I don't know what day we'll come but I think we'll be there a few days before Xmas so we can plan our Xmas dinner after we come.

Take care of yourselves."

              Lots of love,

                   B, Bonnie & Bobby
