May 24, 1954 A Few Slides on the Queen's Birthday

Diary Entry:  May 24, 1954

"Student came to practice speech in English.  B left for Kobe & Osaka to shop.  Sukuda-san here to wash.  Yard full of kids--Queen Elizabeth's birthday so no school at Canadian Academy.  Made ice-cream & cookies for party tonight.  21 people coming to see our slides.   

Poured rain but everyone came.  Sawadas brought a few of their slides.  He has a Leica with all the lenses.  Everyone likes slides."
