Dear Mother & Daddy,
"It seems like a month since we were home. Although classes didn't start until Wed. B went to school and worked Tuesday so this has been a long week.
We weren't very tired after our trip but we all took colds the day after we got home and really have bad ones. Bobby and Ann have such awful coughs.
We made wonderful time coming home--especially before noon. There wasn't much traffic until we hit Illinois.
Marge had a sore throat today and didn't come to clean. I brushed over the top but things aren't very clean. We are still trying to catch up on things left undone when we came home. I took the bedroom drapes down and washed the tie back curtains. I don't know what kind of bedspread we will get so I think I'll leave the drapes down. The blue wall paper makes a problem and we don't want to have to paint it. Our furniture still hasn't been shipped from the factory. I don't know why it is taking so long.
Ann seems to be doing better since we came home. She is eating more solids and I have started giving her egg. I have been adding whole milk to her formula and have a half cup in now. So far, so good.
Don't bother about sending the things you found. B missed his comb and I was afraid I had lost Ann's rabbit. So am glad you found them.
We had lots of mail when we got home and a letter from Aggie. She wrote like old times so I can't imagine why she hadn't written before. I plan to answer soon if I can ever find a minute.
The rain washed all the snow and ice away but they keep predicting snow so we probably will have more soon.
B made a carrying case for his tools and Bobby calls it his "shoot-case".
Hope Daddy's cold is gone now and that you didn't take it."
Lots of love,
Bonnie

Dear Mother & Daddy,
"We are having such nice weather now--nippy but so sunny that it doesn't seem cold. We went for a short ride yesterday and that was the first time we had all been out in the car since we got home. Our colds are better--except for B's and he is just now getting it good. The children still cough and Bobby gets tired so easily and is cross as a bear. Ann seems to be over hers pretty well.
B took Bobby to school to a movie this afternoon so I took Ann in the buggy and went grocery shopping.
I now have a cup of whole milk in Ann's formula but I think I'll have to stop there for awhile. She has slept all night without being fed for two nights now. I just hope she will keep it up.
I made some pies with the lard you gave me. I think it tasted just as sweet as the lard I buy but it has black specks or rather big lumps in it. You had a right to complain. But it tastes good and is nice to have to use.

I finally got Aggie's letter answered. Did I tell you they were expecting a baby in the spring. It will be their third one.
I want to go downtown to shop tomorrow afternoon for a few things for Bobby's birthday. We want to have a little party if we can keep the kids well.
We got a new Sears catalog today but I haven't looked at it yet.
I'm so glad you didn't take cold, Mother, and hope all three of you are fine now."
Lots of love,
Bonnie
