Bonnie's notation in the baby book |
First, I want to thank you for the nice Valentines. Bobby was so thrilled. He got lots of Valentines and was so excited each time he got one. Course, we all like to get letters.
Ann has a tooth and will probably have another soon. It looks like it. She can sit up for a few minutes at a time now and sits in the Teeter-babe most of the time. She is growing so fast and is getting fatter. I now have almost two cups of whole milk in her formula. She has done well on it so I'll keep adding more as long as I can. I sure wish I could get her on all whole milk but that will take a long time, I guess.
I am so glad you are all better. It seems like the colds have been so terrible this winter. Bobby's cold never did get bad although he seemed to have a lot of it in his head. It didn't keep him awake or stuff him up like it usually does and he's fine now. Ann didn't take it.
I've intended to write to Beulah since you wrote that she had the measles but I never did get it done. I'm glad she is better and maybe I'll still get a letter written.
Our new red furniture is here and it's handsome. Our living room really looks homey and comfortable now. Our old furniture wasn't a set. We gave $12 for the old couch second hand and it really served its purpose. The furniture dealer took it on the trade but we kept the chair and footstool. I want to either slipcover or reupholster it soon. I have my bedspread almost done. I'll try to send a scrap--it has a dark green pleated flounce. I think I'll get straight panels for the bedroom and maybe drapes sometimes.
The scrap in the letter |
I'm about ready for my party--it's next Thursday. My house is all clean now and I have my linen tablecloth done up fresh. I'm using red, white and blue on the table--it's Washington's birthday.
B got me two sherbets for Valentines so I now have 6 and 12 goblets. I still haven't used them but haven't had occasion to--maybe will soon.
I must get cleaned up and wash the dishes.
Lots of love,
Bonnie
I got my navy pumps from Wards and they are beautiful. It's funny but Sears shoes just don't fit me and Wards do."
