January 1, 1949 Fine, Rested, Walking and Talking

Dear Mother & Daddy,

"Vacation is almost over but we haven't had half enough time to do all we'd planned.  We are glad we had Christmas at home with all of you for we had a nice one.

We are all fine and are rested from the trip now.  Bobby has been walking everywhere.  He crawls a lot too but walks pretty well.  We got stiffer shoes for him and that has helped probably.  He has been talking a lot too--tries to say most everything we tell him.  He says dog, Teddy and a few other words real plainly.  How he loves the Teddy bear!  He chews it and hugs it and carries it all over.

We have stayed home most of the week except for shopping and we did go to Larsen's one afternoon and then there for supper one night.  B finally found a suit that fits him.  It's real pretty--sharkskin--and will probably wear well.

B loved a good suit and probably had a pipe and tobacco stuffed in the pocket here.

We are going to take Bobby and Lynn for a walk so will have to stop.  Hope you are both fine."

             Lots of love,

                 B, Bonnie & Bobby
