Dear Mother & Daddy,
"The last piece of paper so this will have to be short. We're sporting a new Hudson this week. It came Mon. evening about 7:30 and we sure were surprised to have it so quick. It is like Raymond Powers' and is so nice. We are all proud of it and Bobby wants to go Bye, Bye all the time.
B is painting. We had to put three coats of paint on the kitchen. It is ivory and the walls were dark buff before so it was hard to cover. The people have done the bath all over and it looks so nice--even some new fixtures. I think I told you how awful it was. I bought plain panels for the dining & living room and won't have drapes for awhile. Our dining room suite is ordered and will be here in about 2 weeks. It will be $220. which was a good price for it after we saw what other stores offered for lots more. Mohawk rugs were advertised in the N.Y. Times so I took a chance and ordered two--one beige and one gray for the bedroom. They were $66. each and I can hardly wait to see what they are like. I hope we don't have to send them back. Toni and Lynn came home yesterday. Bobby almost hugged Lynn to pieces.
I've tried all week to finish a slipcover for a chair but can't get far. Bobby has objected to going to bed and I have had to sit with him till he is asleep and then the evening is gone by the time I do the dishes.
We don't go much because of the polio--except for riding and to the grocery store. A 28 yr. old man died this week and that is the only case in the county so far. It is raging other parts of the state and cases are being taken into hospitals here since others are filled.
Hope you are all fine. Take care of yourselves.
Lots & lots of love,
Bonnie, B & Bobby
I want the caladium if it is still alive when we come home."
