Dear Mother & Daddy,
"What a beautiful Mother's Day this is! The sun is bright and it's warm. Yesterday was almost too hot to be comfortable. It seems so good to see the leaves on the trees again.
We've been busy as usual. Wednesday night I went to the Dames at Professor Ball's house. I got brave and took a carload of girls out. Since we have begun to meet in the homes I decided I would have to learn to get around town in the car. Balls live quite a ways out in one of the suburban towns but I made it fine. They have a nice place furnished with quite a few antiques. It's just an average home and we had a wonderful time. They served ice cream, cake and coffee. The cake was an Hawaiian white cake she learned to make when they lived in Hawaii. She is famous for her cakes.
I would like to see Charlotte in the dress I made. I was so afraid it would be too big. Horace wrote that he had seen her and she was sure sweet--and just like me. B's mother said that everytime she saw her she got homesick for me.
We went to the real Russian Ballet last night. It was wonderful.
B's work will all be over next week, but graduation will be in June. One of the classes is having a dinner meeting for the last class, next Tuesday. I get to go to that. When school is out we won't be so rushed. Hope you had a nice day, today and write soon."
Lots & lots of love,
B & Bonnie
