Dear Mother & Daddy,
"I've been so busy this week I have hardly had time to turn around. I went to work Monday afternoon. There are nine girls in the studio. We really have a time. B has gone to teach his class and I'm making some fudge. Wish we had some of your walnuts to go in it. My table cloth is coming right along. I haven't had much time to work on it but I have 15 blocks done. That's quite a strip.
The Yale Dames had their first meeting Wednesday night. It was raining cats & dogs but I got ready and had to walk and then I couldn't find the building. I am still disgusted with myself. They meet in 2 more weeks so I'll try again.
I saw a WAAC the other day. She was a lieutenant home on furlough. The uniform was as near like a soldier's as could be made. She looked handsome.
We like it here and are so happy. I guess we would be anywhere, though, as long as we can stay together. We went to church again at the Chapel Sunday. The services are so nice.
We don't have many blackouts. The sirens sounded tonight, but it was just a test because they have installed a new system of warning. You can imagine all kinds of things when you hear them.
Take care of yourselves."
Oodles of love,
B & Bonnie
