May 7, 1967 The Wonderful Time, The Red Carpet, The Same Work and The Summer Clothes

Dear Mother & Daddy,

"We've been having a wonderful time seeing things and being with Bob. I don't know where the time goes but every minute has been full and we'll leave there in the morning after breakfast with Bob. He has eaten most of his meals with us since we came. In fact, he's been with us a lot because he has a light schedule the end of the week.

The college rolled out the red carpet for the parents. We went to two reception, two concerts, an assembly & a luncheon. There were some ball games but we skipped them and still think we had a pretty full day.

We have met lots of Bob's friends. He will spend the summer here again but I doubt if he takes any classes. He has a job in the chemistry lab doing the same work he's been doing except he'll work 40 hours a week so may not have time, or even want to take a class. We talked with the chemistry professor today.

Yesterday was a beautiful but cool day.  I wore a coat most of today & it kept threatening to rain but never did much. I had planned to wear a white dress & white shoes to the reception but wore an early spring dress & black shoes. Summer clothes just weren't right today.

Hope everyone is fine. We'll probably be home by the time you get this."

                   Lots of love,

                         Bonnie
