December 24, 1953 A Day in the Kitchen and The Carolers of Kwansei Gakuin Church

And the Nutcracker story ends:  The dolls all danced.  The chocolate dolls danced a Spanish dance, coffee dolls did an Arabian dance, tea dolls danced the Chinese dance, and the Russian dance was done by long shoes.  When they started the flower waltz the prince and princess danced with them.

Diary Entry:  Dec. 24, 1953

"Spent most of the day in kitchen.  Made mince pies, rolls, cleaned the turkey & made the salad.  Bought big bag of walnuts from Harbins.  Went to Winnie's for a few minutes to meet Miss Finch--a missionary from Hiroshima.  Ann, Bob, Ann & Margaret Harbin had cool-aid & cookie party in afternoon. After supper fixed table for carolers with cookies of all sorts.  Served cocoa and cookies to 25 members of Kwansei Gakuin church."
